IVETTE SOLIVAN was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico. She completed her professional studies at University of Puerto Rico. She has lived in the state of Rhode Island since 2007 and is where she starts her credit counseling company, Future Credit. She is a businesswoman, Notary Public, Paralegal, Real Estate Agent, Member of the Association of Notaries Public, Member of the RI Association of Realtors, Member of the Association of Financial Analysts of the United States, bearer of the 2014 Excellence Award, in 2019 the Extraordinary Women Award, in 2021 Telemundo recognized her as a Community Heroine and Latina 100.3 FM, a Hispanic radio station chose her as the 2022 Latina Community Leader.She is the Founder and President of the Puerto Rican Professionals Association of RI, she is a community leader and defender of human rights.
Valeria Ruiz | Vice President - Interim
Valeria Ruiz-Ruiz was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She is happily married to Ramon A Fernandez, mother of three children Abdriel, Yulianys and Khalil. Course an Associate Degree in Business, Management and Marketing at the University of Turabo in Puerto Rico. Obtains certifications in minor concentration of Public Relations, Corporate Image Advisor and Event Organizer of University of Sagrado Corazon in Puerto Rico. She was a health insurance agent for Medicare Beneficiaries. She lived in Lancaster PA where she obtained a master’s degree in Cosmetology. She was the first student at the cosmetology academy to win an award in the National Makeup Competition. Her talent and passion in highlighting the image of other people led her to continue her career as a professional makeup artist and today she has licenses of Aesthetic Dermal Artist. Today it has its specialized Permanent Makeup Clinic among other aesthetic services. In 2017 he moved to the state of Rhode Island. She is an entrepreneur and very active in the community, she began to be part of the Puerto Rican Association of Professionals in RI, works as a program manager in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and has a great commitment in the Hispanic business community in the state of Rhode Island. She is proudly a Hispanic woman and spokesperson for Hispanic rights.


Treasurer: Griselle Lopez
Giselle is a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The mother of two teenagers, Adrian and Kimberly Nieves. She came to the US in 2001 with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico. She eventually pursued a Master’s Degree in Accounting, with a concentration in Personal Finances from Rhode Island College. And, is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Progreso Latino and Co-Owner of El Grand Salon in Providence.
Within the Puerto Rican Professional Association of Rhode Island, Giselle has proudly held the positions of Community Relations, Treasurer Assistant, Interim Vice-President and Treasurer.
Giselle loves reading books, traveling, and dancing.
Treasury Assistant: NÉSTOR LLANOS
Nestor Llanos. Originally from San Juan, PR. Rhode Island resident for 9 years, currently in North Providence. Father of Jonathan Llanos. Nestor is developed in the area of Accounting and Management. He owns Believe Photography by NJ and his biggest hobby. He likes to help people whenever he can socially and in the community.
He holds a BBA in Management and Accounting. He currently has 6 years since his beginnings in PRPARI, developing as Sub-treasury, Treasure and currently as Vice President. Being in PRPARI is a great experience and opportunity to help our Puerto Rican community here in RI.


Executive Secretary Maria "Yisne" Garcia
Maria was born in Cayey, PR, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of PR in Rio Piedras. She worked for the Department of Education and Radians School as a Teacher Assistant.
In November 2006, Maria moved to Rhode Island to work at Future Credit and currently works for Diversified Distribution. Maria is a founding member of PRPARI and has served as the Executive Secretary of Assistant Secretary since then.
